A drawing of the Virgin, standing with Joseph as she delivers the Child into the arms of the High Priest. There are figures to the left and right, and a swathe of drapery drawn aside in the top right corner. See also RCIN 904425, 904399 (verso).

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1800-1820 (Inv. A, p.110: among 33 'Drawings of Pietro de Petris. Massuci and other Scholars of Carlo Maratti, excepting one Caricatura by Ghezzi')
