A drawing of the head of Venus after Raphael's fresco of Venus, Ceres and Juno, Villa Farensina, Rome. The three godesses are shown conversing, in a spandrel adjacent to the Wedding Banquet of Cupid and Psyche. See also RCIN 904214, 904242, 904257, 904323, 904325, 904385.

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 108: 'Of Heads, Madonnas...and two or three from Raphael')
