A drawing after a kneeling figure from the right-hand side of Annibale Carracci's fresco of the Invocation of S Diego, formerly in the Capella S Diego, Church of S Giacomo degli Spagnuoli, Rome. A second kneeling figure to the right is similarly draped in a long mantle. See also RCIN 904205, 904212, 904393.

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810
