A drawing of a naked man pulling on a rope at chest height, with a detail drawing of his right foot. These are studies for the painting of the Martyrdom of St Blaise and St Sebastian, in the church of S Maria di Carignano. It was commissioned for the church of S Carlo ai Catinari. Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 107: amongst 'Thirteen various Study's and Two Academical Figures')
