Description

A drawing of St Andrew ascending upon clouds, accompanied by angels and putti carrying his cross. This is a sketch for the composition engraved from a drawing by PS Bartoli after Maratta, dedicated to Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni by Francesco Parteni during the Pontificate of Alexander VIII (1689-91).
