A drawing of the Virgin seated on clouds with her feet resting on a crescent moon. The infant Christ, on her knee, holds a cross. Below are three holy cardinals. There are flames under the feet of the one on the right.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III from the collection of Consul Joseph Smith, c.1762; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1800-20 (Inv. A, p.20: 'Four of the School of Cignani')
