A copy of the head of the Virgin in Reni's Immaculate Conception, in the church of San Biagio, Forli.
The drawing was catalogued by Kurz (in K(B)) as an original study but is plainly a copy; an original study for the Virgin is in the Uffizi, inv. 1577-F (Guido Reni: Zeichnungen, Vienna 1981, no. 100). See S. Pepper, Guido Reni, 1984, under no. 123.Provenance
