An offset after a three-quarter-length study with, on the right, a woman wearing a headdress, turned to the left and looking downwards, making a gesture of surprise with her right hand. The second woman, on the left, looks back at her companion with her arms outstretched to the left.
This is a coarsely retouched offset of RCIN 902789 (recto) to the original location of which (in one of the albums at Windsor) the reference in Inventory A alludes. The drawing is related to Salome Receiving the Head of St John the Bap. from an Executioner, in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Rennes. RCIN 903171 is another offset from RCIN 902789.Provenance
