A study for the figure of Moses at the right-hand side of Christ in the painting of the Transfiguration in the Pinacoteca, Bologna. This was previously thought to be a study by Lanfranco for the frescoes in the pendentives of the crossing in SS Apostoli, Naples.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 76: 'Various studies for different Pictures')
