A drawing of a woman, three-quarters length, turning to the front and mouth open as if speaking. The drawing comes from the Carracci sequence and was catalogued by Wittkower (in W(C)) as by Annibale Carracci, but the style is not his. N. Turner (note on mount, 1992) recognised the drawing as Florentine, suggesting Empoli as the artist.
On the verso, probably by a different hand, a black chalk sketch of a standing woman, her skirts hitched up, urinating into a basin; reworked in red chalk with drapery over her naked body. -
