A circular Chinese blue-and-white porcelain bowl, thinly potted, with rounded sides and splayed rim, with bracketlobed edge, low foot and glazed base.

Inside, painted in the centre, a roundel with a bird on a rock by a flowering plant, and round the sides, four radiating panels with flower sprays in lobed quatrefoil panels, with monster masks at the rim and pendent tassels in narrow panels between; the outside painted in sketchy style with four quatrefoils between narrow panels and two plant sprays round the rim.
