Description

An anonymous woodcut reproducing the group of figures standing to the left of Aristotle at the top of the stairs in Raphael's fresco of The School of Athens, painted in c.1509-10 in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican. The woodcut, printed from two blocks, is on two joined sheets of paper. According to Ruland (1876), the woodcut was made after a tracing.
