A photograph of a pen and ink drawing now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no. WA1846.223), where is attributed to a follower of Raphael, possibly Giovanni Francesco Penni. Annotated on the verso.

This drawing was attributed by Passavant to Raphael and it was cited by Crowe and Cavalcaselle as evidence for the changes of plan which occurred during the decoration of the Logge, which were designed by Raphael and executed by his workshop (c.1517-19) in the Vatican. According to Parker (see Bibliographic References), "the present shape of the drawing [a lunette] may be due simply to cutting". Jacob and Rebekah preparing the savoury meats for Isaac (Genesis, 27) was suggested by Parker as the subject of this drawing.
