A print after the so-called La Perla, a painting now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inv. no.301) generally attributed to Giulio Romano (c.1518-19), possibly after a design by Raphael. Lettered state, with publication details, title, dedication and dedicatee's coats of arms.
Showing the full-length Virgin supporting the Christ Child and resting her left hand on the shoulder of St Anne who sits next to her, with the Young John the Baptist approaching the group on the left offering fruit, and St Joseph partially hidden among ruins in the background at left; in a landscape.Provenance
