A plate from a series of twelve published in Venice in 1759 under the title as Varii capricii e paesi inventati e disegnati dal celebre Gio. Benedetto Castiglione Genovese (Various capricci and landscapes invented and drawn by the celebrated Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione of Genoa), reproducing drawings by Castiglione in the collection of Anton Maria Zanetti. They testify to the enduring appeal that Castiglione held for Venetian artists and collectors almost a century after his death.
