An etching of the Virgin kneeling as she cradles the Christ Child, watched by a host of adoring angels amidst clouds on the left. The radiant light emanating from both the Child and God the Father illuminates the attendant angels, one swinging a censer. In the gloom at lower right, classical ruins symbolise the overthrow of the old order. Inscribed on the base of the column on the right; GENOVESE / CASTILIONE / P. Inscribed on the banderole held by the two putti; GLOR INECEL.
