A hand-coloured print of Joseph Bonaparte plundering Spanish treasure at the Royal Palace in Madrid committed prior to his departure from Spain. In the centre, Joseph reaches into a cupboard containing the Diadem which sits alongside the Orb. He is flanked by his cohorts who are all busy plundering gold and silver plate, bags of Ducats, works or art and even the Palace's drapes which are packed into large trunks. In the right foreground lies a chalice, crucifix and a Mitre ready to be carried back to France.
