A hand-coloured print featuring two designs horizntally arranged as a contrast of how to spend leisure time. In the upper design, an Army officers accompanied by a Vicar and others leads a toast, their glasses raised. A bowl of punch stands on the table. In the lower design, a studious and serious group pour over accounts and ruminate, their idea of enjoyment not as freely expressed as the upper group. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd July 14 1805 by T Rowlandson No 1 James St Adelphi / Rowlandson 1805
