A hand-coloured plate featuring 12 vignettes of every day life. They are: a group of women fortune telling; a woman standing by a well; two men wearing army uniform fencing; children playing Blind Man's Buff; A woman being escorted in a Sedan Chair; knife grinding; A messenger; a man with a roller and milk maid; a black smith's shop; lace makers; boat building; street sellers and fox hunting. Plate 8. Inscribed in the plate: Pub June 20 1790 by SW Fores N3 Piccadilly
