An uncoloured print of a disabled sailor using crutches who turns to face the viewer. The scene is open with no buildings or other figures in sight. On the sailor's back is a small child, barefoot, with its arms around the sailor's neck. Originally published Nov. 27, 1788 - publisher's title bottom left corner.
