An uncoloured print of Sir Jeffery Dunstan, a second hand wig seller in London who was elected as the Mayor of Garrat to protect the interests of the inhabitants on Garrat Common, Surrey. Dunstan, holding a mace, presents a crowned William Pitt with an address at which Pitt shows obvious delight. Behind Pitt stands George Pretyman, the Bishop of Lincoln. Behind Dunstan and holding his train stands an idiot wearing a bottle of gin on his head. Alderman Wilkes also holds Dunstan's train and Brook Watson with his wooden leg is also in attendance along with an admiring crowd. An uncoloured impression of RCIN 810299.
