A hand-coloured print of a bedroom scene in which an ill George III is disturbed by his son, the Prince of Wales and his friends; George Hanger (later Equerry to the Prince) and Richard Brinsley Sheridan (a playwright). The Prince and his cronies are drunk and have disturbed a bishop in the act of giving the King Communion. A picture on the wall compares the Prince to the Prodigal Son of the Bible. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd Novr 25 1788 by S.W. Fores No.3 Piccadilly
