The victim sits in left side profile, his arms folded across his body and his face ashen. Immediately in front of him, a spirit hands him a pistol whilst above, a skeleton thrusts his javelin towards the man. A funeral cart and demons provide further visions. On the right a doctor stands in contemplation holding his stick. He is accompanied by a maid or house keeper. Landscape pictures hang on the wall of the room.
