A hand-coloured print of the Duchess of Devonshire embracing a butcher while another, unidentified, woman shows her support. In the background a man holding a butcher's tray under his arm cheers with approval. One of the prints made to criticise the Duchess's involvement in the canvassing for the election for the constituency of Westminster in 1784. Inscribed in the plate: Pubd April 12th 1784 by W. Humphrey No.227 Strand
