Silk union flag, central reserve with crown over embroidered inscription THE ROYAL IRISH REGIMENT with central II. Battles inscribed in yellow scrolls left: Mons, Le Cateau, Somme 1916-18, Messines 1917, Suvla. Right: Marne 1914, Ypres 1915-17-18, Hindenburg Line, Struma, Gaza. Wood pole with engraved band and gilt metal finial in form of crown.
