This volume is a 1682 book containing the laws passed by the Scottish parliament during the reigns of the Stuart kings of Scotland from James I (r. 1406-1437) to Charles II, who also reigned as king of England following the union of the crowns under his grandfather, James VI & I, in 1603. The Scottish legal system remains independent of that used in England and Wales.
