A set of four stone china comports and three stands, the comports circular and the raised dish with a green border with gilt trellis oeil-de-perdrix (partridge's eye) design, and separate square stand. The comports with three shaped reserves painted with polychrome floral bouquets; painted at the centre with a polychrome bouquet of national floral emblems tied with a union ribbon. Moulded gilt palm leaves support the dish on a column of raised trellis design; sits upon a circular base, painted green with gilt trellis and floral reserves. Separate square stand, painted green with gilt trellis, scrolling edge and gilt feet with shell decoration. Similar to RCIN 57206
Provenance
Part of a service known as the Coronation Dessert Service, commissioned by William IV in 1830 for his coronation and delivered the following year.
