11 assorted view of the Brighton Pavilion, before and after the alterations, interiors and exteriors, the gardens, etc. Various sizes.
The aquatints are taken from watercolours published in the Repton's Red book of 1806 (see RCIN 970493 for a copy of the book and 918069-85 for the watercolours), showing Repton's planned design, presented to then Prince of Wales, the future George IV.
The aquatints were later published in Repton's Designs for the Pavillon at Brighton, (London: Printed for J. C. Stadler and sold by Boydell and Co., etc., 1808) and dedicated to the then Prince of Wales, the future George IV. -
