  • An etching of the gardens of the Earl of Burlington at Chiswick House, seen from the top of a flight of steps, a gentleman leaning on the balustrade. Lettered below in English and French with the title and publication line 'Sold by T. Bowles in St Paul's Churchyard, John Bowles & Son, at the Black Horse in Cornhill, Robert Sayer at the Golden Buck in Fleet Street & John Ryall at Hogarth's Head in Fleet Street'. The print is one of a set of six views of the gardens at Chiswick House first issued by John Tinney in 1753. The set was reissued in about 1760-66, possibly by William Woollett after the designs of John Donowell.
