A long, rectangular box with rounded corners, the sides with metal rings for tying cords, the top with rounded cut-outs above, the base flat. On the top, in takamakie, and painted in gold on a black ground, a tall pine and a prunus tree growing by rocks and swirling water, with a gold-topped hill above, and details of the ground in fundame, the design continuing over the sides, the inside decorated in nashiji.
