Master: Model of the Thai Royal barge 1970

Description

A wooden model of the Thai Royal barge Suphannahong, painted gold outside, red within, in the form of a mythical swan, with a pendant tassel at the prow. It containins numerous oarsmen with upraised oars and two men steering; all on a lacquer stand, with perspex cover. The original barge was built in 1911 during the reign of King Rama VI of Siam.
