An engraving of Edmund Fortescue (1610–47), Royalist army officer who died in exile in Delft. A bust portrait, with long hair and slight beard, in armour and plain collar with tassels. Oval within inscription. This print is lettered around the portrait: "ANNO DOMINI 1647 ÆTATIS SUÆ 38"; along the bottom: "VERA AC VIVA EFFIGIES EDMVUNDI / FORTESCVE DE FALLAPITT, … / NVNC IN HOLLANDIA, EXVLIS: // Henr. Danckers. Sculp. / Hagæ Comitis.".

The print formed part of an album of portrait prints assembled by Cassiano and his younger brother Carlo Antonio dal Pozzo in Rome. Described in an early nineteenth-century inventory of prints in George III's library as Heads of English illustrious Personages, the album was dismantled later in the nineteenth century and incorporated into the sequences of British portrait prints in the collection.
