A light cavalry sword; the stirrup hilt with drop quillon. The pistol grip covered with leather and bound at intervals with wire. Curved, backedged, steel blade with wide central fuller. Of the 1796 pattern for British Light Cavalry.
Provenance
Formerly in a wall trophy at St James's Palace. Not identifiable in any earlier inventory.
