This is a licence for 10 marks paid to the king by Thomas de Fliccham and Nicholas Baroun for the alienation in mortmain by them of a messuage, three tofts, 133 acres of land and 45s rent in Fliccham, Apilton, Hillyngton, Depham, Morlee, Attilburgh, Wyklewood and Great Elyngham, not held in chief, of which the messuage is of no yearly value, and the tofts and lands of the yearly value of 25s 2d, as found by inquisition of John Rede, escheator in the county of Norfolk, to the prior and convent of Fliccham to find a Canon-chaplain to celebrate divine service three days a week in their church for the good estate of the donors while living and their souls after death, in full satisfaction of lands to the yearly value of 10l which they had license by letters patent of the late king to acquire in mortmain. -
