Engraving of Edward III, King of England. Half length with beard, long hair, brimmed hat, ermine mantle, and jewelled collar. Within an oval border with orb and sceptre above and with crown, coat of arms, and a scene from the life of the King below, the supposed establishment of the Order of the Garter. With English inscription. Cut down. A plate from James Mechell's edition of Paul de Rapin-Thoyras' History of England (1732-33). For another impression see RCIN 600387.
