Chape for a sabre or hanger of gilt brass, assymetrical with a shallow, chevron-shaped inlet edged with scalloping. Outer face with engraved lines and below with rococo ornament against matted ground. On reverse flowers. Scrolls towards tip. Nationality uncertain.
