Half length with tied wig, frilled tie, embroidered jacket with the star of the Order of the Holy Sprit, sash, and with the Order of the Golden Fleece. Within an oval border. Proof before full lettering, with scratched title and publisher's address below, 'Published Novr. 9th 1778 by John Boydell Engraver in Cheapside London.' For a later lettered state see RCIN 617489.
