  • Engraving of Henri IV, King of France and Navarre. Whole length equestrian figure, with short hair, beard, wreath, closed ruff, sash, and armour. The King is pictured on horseback holding the reins in left hand and a baton in right, with a view of troops in battle in the background. Within a decorative border, with French verses below. Cut down, with printed text on the verso. Second state. From an unknown text.

Jan van Haelbeck's original portrait, was published in it's first state in c.1609, and has previously been identified as a copy of Léonard Gaultier's 1609 portrait of the King, however it is unclear which print appeared first. For a copy after this print by Renold Elstrack, published by John Sudbury and George Humble, see RCIN 616693.

The print is dated post 1631, as the text on the verso mentions the Siege of Casale (1628-31), part of the War of the Mantuan Succession.
