Within a rectangular border with a wreath above and coat of arms below. With French inscription on entablature.

This is a lettered state of a portrait engraved by Etienne Fessard and Augustin Saint-Aubin. In this, it's original form, the portrait was enclosed within a rectangular border, but was later re-engraved within an oval design and published in the early 1800s. For what may be an intermediary false proof state see RCIN 615684.
