Engraving with etching of Prince François, Duke of Anjou and Alençon. Whole length equestrian figure with short hair, plumed cap, closed ruff, doublet, and sash. The Duke is pictured on horseback holding the reins in left hand and a baton in right, with a view of troops leaving a city in the background. Within an arched border with Latin inscription on entablature below. This print was published as a plate to Emanuel van Meteren's Historien der Nederlanden (1647), for another impression printed without text see RCIN 615218.
