Stipple of Maria Ludovika of Austria-Este, Empress of Austria. Half length with curled hair with pearl ropes, lace collar, and embroidered gown. Within an oval border with Italian inscription below, including publication line, 'Publicato a Vienna da Artaria at Comp', and with a dedication line, 'Dedicato a S.A.R.L. Archduchessa Madre Maria Beatrice d'Este &.&.'
This print is dedicated to the sitter's mother, Maria Beatrice d'Este, Duchess of Massa (1750-1829).Provenance
