An etching of Maria Josepha of Bavaria, second wife of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II. A bust-length portrait in profile, facing left, wearing jewels in her hair, pearl earrings and a mantle. The portrait sits within a circular frame alongside the Latin inscription 'IOSEPHA MARIA AUG. ROMANORUM REGINA.' The frame is surrounded by foliage, a coat of arms, crown, orb and sceptre. Below is a plaque bearing a German inscription beginning 'gebohrne herzoginn von Banern...' The plate has been trimmed.
