An etching of Maria Theresa of Austria, wife of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I, appealing to the Hungarians during the 1741 Diet of Pressburg. A full length portrait with her face turned to the upper left, wearing a dress and veil while carrying her firstborn son Joseph II. She is surrounded by members of the Hungarian nobility who wave their drawn swords in the air. The image is dated 1774 and the plate has been trimmed.
