Description

An engraving of Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor. A short half length portrait facing right, wearing a plumed hat, fur-trimmed cloak and the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait sits within a laurel wreath surrounded by the paraphernalia of war. At the bottom of the plate is the Latin inscription 'MASSIMILIANO SECONDO AUGUSTISSIMO IMPERATORE DE ROMANI &.'
