An engraving of Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor. A head and shoulder length portrait facing right, wearing a crown, armour, mantle fastened across the chest and the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait sits within an oval border bearing the Latin inscription 'FERDINANDVS I. DEI GRATIA ROMANORVM IMPERATOR SEMPER AVGVSTVS.' The frame is flanked by two fluted pilasters and sits upon a pedestal bearing a further Latin inscription and two vignettes of councils titled 'Comilia Augustana' and 'Consil Triden'.
