Engraving of Isabella of Portugal, wife of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Three-quarter length seated portrait facing left, wearing a black dress and a pendant. Her right hand rests upon a book, while her left hand holds flowers. A crown sits on the windowsill behind her. Beneath the portrait, and its frame, is the Latin inscription 'ISABELLA LVSITANA IMPERATRIX REGINA HISPANIARVM ET INDIARVM VXOR CAROLI. V. MATER PHILIPPI II. obyt Au. 1539.' The plate has been trimmed.
