Engraving of Mary of Burgundy, wife of Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor. Half length portrait facing left, wearing a peaked headdress, necklace with a crucifix and pearl, and an pearl encrusted embroidered gown. The portrait sits within an oval frame, beneath which is a French inscription beginning 'MARIE de Bourgoigne, fille unique de heritiere universelle de CHARLES HARDY.' In between the inscription is a coat of arms surmounted by a crown. The print comes from Les Effigies des Souverains Princes et Ducs de Brabant / Effigies des Forestiers et Comtes de Flandres, published by Jean Meyssens in 1663.
