Etching of a statue depicting Ernest, Duke of Austria. Full length portrait, inclined left, wearing a crowned helmet, suit of armour , belt and robe embroidered with the Imperial Eagle. The plinth upon which he stands features a German inscription, 'ERNSTER CZ HERCZOG ZV OSTERREICH GRAF ZV HAPSPVRC VND TIROL, 1553.' At the bottom of the plate is the title and identifier, 'ERNEST DER EISERNE . No. VI'. This is a print of one of 28 life-sized bronze statues which stand around the tomb of the Emperor Maximilian I at Hofkirche, Innsbruck.
