Mezzotint of Prince Johann Adolf of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. Half length with tied wig, lace tie, armour, and ermine mantle over left shoulder. Within an oval border with English inscription below. Cut down. First state before a later re-working of the sitter and inscription as Charles of Loraine. For the later state see RCIN 615823.
