Description

Mezzotint of Maximilian III Joseph, Elector of Bavaria. Three quarter length with tied wig, lace tie, armour, sash, Order of the Golden Fleece, and ermine mantle. The Duke is pictured standing, holding a baton in hands beside a plumed helmet and crown on a cushion to the right. With columns and drapery behind and with a view of a garden in the background. With Latin inscription below.
